Renat Magsumovich Harisov was born on May 06, 1941, in the village of Elkhovoe Lake, Ulyanovsk region, USSR. Poet, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (2005), laureate of the Republic of Tatarstan named after G. Tukai, author of about 40 collections of poems and poems, the libretto of musical stage works, including the libretto of the ballet "The Legend of Yusuf" by Leonid Lyubovsky. He is the secretary of the Writers' Union of Russia, a member of the editorial boards of the magazines "Our Contemporary", "Tatarstan", "Historical Gazeta" (Moscow).
In his sonnets, R. Harisov seeks to penetrate into the “spirit” of things, the “creative power” of the universe, to depict “life” in all its manifestations.
