Makhmud Gisamutdinovich Maksudov was born on January 15, 1900, in the village of Yugary Kibyakhuza, Tyulyachinsky District, Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. He entered Tatar Soviet literature during its formation and took a place among the leading writers of the republic.
He is a poet and essayist, author of short stories and literary criticism.
