Zakiya Tufailovna Shaihetdinova was born on January 29, 1907, in the village of Ilmorza of the Kushnarenko region of Bashkiria in the family of a mullah. The peak of active creativity came in the fifties of the twentieth century when she begins to write poetry for children. The best poems are written for the little ones. They are filled with humour and simplicity for a fun learning experience.
In 1930 Zakia graduated from the Sverdlovsk Pedagogical College.
Since 1930, she worked as an educator and teacher in schools for working youth in the Urals, Leningrad and Kazan. After completing the courses of librarians, she worked in the libraries of Kazan.
Zakia died on January 11, 1977, in Kazan.
