Galimdzhan Shakirovich Latypov was born on January 20, 1912, in the village of Novo-Dumeeva, Chekmagushevsky district, Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, in the family of a poor peasant. His poetry is optimistic, imbued with a sense of sincere love for the socialist homeland, for the creative, inspired working life of the Soviet people. Poems about V.I.Lenin occupy a significant place in Latypov's work. The works of G. Latypov are distinguished by the harmony and completeness of the composition, the clarity and concreteness of the subject matter.
In 1939-1940 G. Latypov served in the ranks of the Naval Forces, took part in the war against the White Finns.
He died in Kazan in 1986.
