Gabdeldzhabbar Gabdelmadzhidovich Kandaly was born on November 5, 1797, in the village of Starye Kandaly, Samara province of the Russian Empire. Tatar poet who wrote in Tatar and Arabic. The author of satirical and lyrical poems and love poems. Gabdeldzhabbar Kandaly went down in the history of Tatar literature as the first poet-lyricist who praised love for a woman. In his poems, he openly wrote about the powerlessness of women, about the hard work of the peasants, ridiculed the ignorant clergy, he wrote satirical poems and epigrams.
The poet died in 1860 at the age of 63. His grave is located at the cemetery in the village of Irtugan.
